165 participants from over 42 countries attended the IV International Symposium on Transboundary Waters Management, organised by the UNESCO Chair INWEB in cooperation with the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, UNESCO IHP, IGRAC and SAHRA.  The meeting concluded with the "Thessaloniki Statement".
