Publication Guidelines

EXTENDED ABSTRACTS

  • In English
  • Approximately 3 pages long (500 words or 2500 characters without spaces per page)
  • Prepare 2 files: one Microsoft word doc and one pdf
  • Use Times New Roman, 10 points type, single-column of 215 x 280 mm (8.5 x 11-in.) paper with at least 25.4 mm (1-in.) margins, single spacing.
  • Submit using the Abstract Submission Web Form or send as an e-mail attachment using The Submission of Abstracts Form B to iganouli@civil.auth.gr

Submitted files must contain:

  • Title
  • Related Symposium Topic(s)
  • Full author(s) name and affiliation
  • Text of Extended Abstract (up to 3 pages)

Selection and publication procedure

  • Extended abstracts will be reviewed by special expert groups
  • Authors of accepted abstracts will be notified by 30th June 2008 and informed about the type of presentation (oral or poster)
  • Accepted abstracts will be published in a CD Rom before the Symposium
  • During the Symposium the Scientific Committee will select the best presentations
  • Authors of these selected presentations will be asked to prepare a full length paper (12 pages x 500 words or 2500 characters without spaces)
  • Full length papers will be included in a book.

 

TOPICS

The main topic of the symposium is "Transboundary Surface Waters and Shared Aquifers". The following, specific topics will be developed in depth either for surface and groundwaters separately, or in combination. Papers will be presented and discussed in separate thematic workshops followed by plenary debates and exchanges of views on inter and trans-disciplinary approaches.
